Fall in the "Kiwanis World"

Summer is ending and we are all crazy busy at work with Oktoberfest closing in!! No time to blog long notes!

Come check out Karlsberghaus and celebrate the biggest Oktoberfest celebration outside of Germany!!

You'll have a great time and support many local charities.

Summer in the "Kiwanis World"

The weather is trying to warm up. Kiwanis Park is open for business along with the Snack Shack run by our very own Membership Chair!

Our Oktoberfest Committe works all year long, planning Karlsberghaus, Oktoberfest at the Aud.

Summer conferences are on the go.

High school graduations are being planned and we have many bursaries to present.

Our Circle K club at the University of Waterloo is busy planning many fund-raising events.

The bees are buzzing and so are we...hard at work and play. And although the Kiwanis year doesn't start until October 1, I've just attended officer training for the 2011/2012 Kiwanis year.

We've got tons of ideas and plans and are very excited with our work in the community and along the way, we hope to enjoy each other's company and the warm weather.

To all we wish a very happy, healthy, rejuvenating summer!

Bursary Applications

If you are a Kitchener Waterloo student who is attending an accredited post secondary school and are interested in applying for one of our bursaries, please speak to your principal. All principals are contacted in the spring to submit a set number of applications.

Social Events

Over the years, there have been many different social events held: Valentine's dance, pool party, family picnics, Christmas parties, ladies' nights, theatre parties, trips to Blue Jay's games, mini golf, club anniversary parties.

A big part of the Kiwanis experience is meeting new people and having fun. The conventions held by Kiwanis International and at the District level are another way of meeting more people from around the world.
