About Us - Welcome to Kiwanis Club of Twin Cities!
Making An Impact!
Club meetings occur every Tuesday at Cafe Bon Choix
(Waterloo City Hall) at 6:45 p.m. offering fun, learning, and fellowship.
In addition to attending the meetings, a Twin Cities Kiwanian chooses
which other projects and fundraisers he or she wants to be involved
in.
Service projects often are linked to the Kiwanis program,
'Young Children: Priority One', targeting the needs of young children.
The Kiwanis Club of Twin Cities manages Kiwanis
Park, two not-for-profit apartment buildings, Karlsberghaus
one of the largest Oktoberfest Festhalls, and also helps with K-W
Children's Charities, Victoria Park Christmas Lighting, Kiwanis
Kavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, and Twin Cities High School Student
Bursaries.
Kiwanis also plays a special role in developing future
generations of leaders. K-Kids
clubs at the elementary school level, Builders
clubs in middle schools and junior highs, Key
clubs in high schools, and Circle
K clubs at the University level all are Kiwanis sponsored organizations
that teach community service and leadership skills to young people.
In addition, Kiwanis also sponsors Aktion
clubs made up of adults with disabilities. The Kiwanis Club
of Twin Cities is proud to sponsor a Key Club at Grand River Collegiate
and a Circle K Club at the University of Waterloo.
